Conclusion
The Strat with the Hot Rod Deville.
We have now used this Strat with this Hot Rod Deville, as well as the Cut Down Super 6, a few times at gigs, and it sounds awesome through both of them! The switching arrangement has worked out well, though we may swap out the middle pickup phase switch for a simple on-off switch, as the out of phase settings sounds really thin anyway. It has a really comfortable neck, and we are very happy with the Seymore Duncan pickups. .
