Reassembly
We were finally ready to reassemble the remaining parts into a functioning guitar! At this point, actually, about all that remained was to install the tuners, bridge and tailpiece.
Tuners reinstalled
The moment of truth! We strung it up, tuned it, and to our great pleasure, the headstock seemed quite stable. Playing it for a bit also confirmed that the glue joint was not in an area that would affect the playablility at all. W00t!
