Conclusion

This was a pretty interesting and educational project. Not a whole lot to it, but it satisfied my curiosity about the process of gluing a broken headstock. Admittedly, this was a fairly convenient, clean break, but it was a good one for my first attempt. We actually really like the finish on this guitar, and it sounds quite good with the Seymour Duncan P-Rails. In my (not so professional) opinion, these Epiphones are decent guitars, and do benefit from an electronics upgrade, such as the Seymour Duncan pickups.

Well, not sure we are quite ready to bid on a $1000 Gibson with a broken headstock yet, but...
