Blues Deluxe Project - Home
Here is another Fender chassis that we built a custom cab for. This one is a Fender Blues Deluxe reissue chassis that originally came as a combo in a cab with one 12" speaker. The cab was built exactly like the cabs for the two Hot Rod Deville chassis, so we will only show a few pictures of the cab and chassis, mostly a few that show some differences in the two cab styles. The pictures of the chassis are pre-mod / upgrade, as we did this later after discovering a few issues with the chassis. For some reason, we don't seem to have any pictures of this process.
The Blues Deluxe is a two channel amp ('clean' and 'dirty'), as opposed to the Hot Rod series, which have three ('clean', 'dirty' and 'dirtier'). Also, it is rated at 40 watts as opposed to the Hot Rod Deville at 60 watts. The Blues Deluxe comes from the factory with a single 12" speaker. We ended up using two vintage 10" speakers originally from my old mid '70s Fender Super 6.
